It had grow to be clear that a number of the waiting staff where stealing from the Ideas pot. He explained to us that on some weeks there might be as much as £5000 within the pot on a Saturday night. We also decided to go undercover and pose as a couple getting a meal. We wanted to try and get the waiter to take a bit tip from us to see what he would do with the cash.
The Restaurant was quite busy and so exactly where the waiters. We had a fantastic meal and showed our appreciation in the end when we gave the waiter a large tip. Soon after we left we went back to the office to watch the film footage. It fairly clearly showed each the head waiter along with the Bar man taking money from the Tip jar and also forgetting to put their suggestions in. Our client was delighted using the CCTV and also the truth that we caught the head waiter and Barman read handed.
