Our client had been a bit suspicious prior to because they usually flirted around each other and seemed to have private jokes. When she mentioned it to her husband he constantly told her she was becoming silly and that they were just very good buddies
. She was quite upset and she said it had taken her a couple days to pluck up the courage to call us. We reassured her that she was doing the best factor and it would be far better to know the truth.She told us about her scenario and we talked about what possibilities she had. As the client knew when each her husband and friend were going out we decided to do a six hour session of surveillance. We followed the husband from work and positive enough he was meeting the friend in a wine bar. They were quite intimate with one another and after some drinks they went to a nearby hotel. They need to have pre booked a room as they went straight to the lift and didn’t come back down for a few hours.
We were able to present our client with photographs of her husband and friend together and tell her about their movements over the six hours of surveillance. Our client, although devastated, was in a position to make an informed decision about what to do subsequent.
Soon after she had got over the initial shock of it all she filed for divorce and informed her friend’s husband of the affair. Her friend’s husband also filed for divorce. He had had his own suspicions of his wife’s infidelity for very some time. They're now helping one another get over the whole affair.
